X-Men: Apocalypse | The Review

While not a huge Bryan Singer fan, I DID like X-Men: Days of Future Past. I found myself going into the theater on opening night with my daughters, rather eager and excited! I broke down and bought popcorn, that's a serious thing!

Now, various reviews have beat-up this movie. The biggest thing I've seen others mention, is the lack of "continuity" with the other films. I'm going to say, YES. So, taken as part of a franchise, I'd say the movie really didn't deliver. There are gaps with Wolvorine, plots and things which happened in the other film, which JUST didn't "jive".  If you want something that delivers with a strong on-going storyline, you GOTTA stick with the Marvel machine!

For me, the best part of the movie had to be Quicksilver. Evan Peters did ANOTHER awesome job with the character, and whenever he was onscreen (not enough), I had to laugh and smile. NOT to give anything away, but the special scene he was in, was just as GOOD or better, than the previous X-Men movie. AWESOME.

The big bad guy, had to much make-up and not enough character driven bad-assness. I felt more could have been done. I really don't want to go into details on to much, it's the whole spolier thing.

I'd say, if you are looking for a fun movie, something to entertain you, GO see this! IF you are looking for a logical next-step in the X-MEN franchise, you may have to swallow a little bitterness.

Personally, I really did enjoy myself. Good times!
