I was a late bloomer.

 

Sure, I played RISK when I was in high school, but being raised in a religious home and then attending a christian school, seriously hampered my deeply hidden, geek side. This was during the rocking 80's, at the height of the whole Dungeon & Dragons and anything related to it, was the DEVIL thing! So, being a rather good boy at the time, I stayed away from such things. My parents, even threw away my comic books, I mean, why take chances?

It wasn't until the summer of my senior year, that things changed. First, I read the initial book in the Belgariad, Pawn of Prophecy, by David Eddings. Fantasy RULES! A few weeks after that, a buddy of mine asked my to play in my very first dungeons & dragons campaign, and my life was changed! This was 1984, and not only was the D&D campaign amazing and awesome, but I also attended GENCON for the first time. Mind. Freaking. BLOWN. Release the hounds, and don't look back!

 As I dropped those six-sided dice when I generated my very first D&D character, that, was my initial experience with a DICEGASM! Hooked. Never looked back! Through the years I've played Dungeon & Dragons (still my favorite), TORG, Paranoia, Star Wars (the original by West End Games), Rolemaster, GURPS, Ars Magica, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder, 13 Age, Dungeon World, FATE, Dr. Who, Numenera, Mutants & Masterminds and more. I love me my dicegasms!

Now, I'm almost 50. I enjoy board games, collecting comics, playing on my PS4 and collecting minitures for my tabletop RPG sessions. I've now started getting into COSPLAY and ANIME, and who really knows what's next!

This site and the various social media, is something I've ALWAYS wanted to do. Maybe give back to the gaming community. I am sure, there are plenty of other 50 plus year olds out there, who are in my shoes and wanting to know more and just , well be geek!

My plans are to develop a brand, create some cool t-shirts and SWAG, have unique COSPLAY images, get into v-blogging and more! This web site is the ALPHA! As things develop, look for changes. Right now, I am still working on all of the back-ground, boring things. Once done, you'll see more updates here, and across the various social media platforms!
