I love the simplicity of the new "version" of Dungeons & Dragons. I've played since the 1st edition of the game, and really loved it then. As I've mentioned before, I was a late bloomer at the age of 19 to start playing, but that was good enough! Now, with the new version of the game, I enjoy the simplicity. Easy to tell the story, pretty easy to resolve what happens when a player attempts something heroic. Loving it! I freaking love the ADVANTAGE | DISADVANTAGE rule, and the bonded accuracy aspect of the game keeps things interesting with goblins, even as characters hit that mid-level adventuring range!
Now, to the point! I've seen a bunch of handouts to help new players and DMs get a grip on what you can do during your round of actions during an encounter. Some pretty nice documents are floating around out there! BUT, I just found a page, which is the coolest. The icons are "clickable", with a brief description of what has befallen the adventuring hero!
The down side, is that it can only be used online. I don't use any electronic assistance when I DM, so I am a bit bummed this tool will not be handy for me during play. But other than that, very helpful!
