the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS movie... has a director!

Warner Brothers, is now in control! The lawsuit between Sweetpea Entertainment and HASBRO has been resolved, so there is now much rejoicing in the GEEK community!

The movie was on, the movie was off, but Warner Brothers stayed with their commitment to see things through. Variety {read the article here] has just announced that Rob Letterman will direct the Dungeons & Dragons movie! He directed Goosebumps, Monsters vs. Aliens, Shark Tale and others. The Goosebumps movie did rather well in theaters, with a sequel having already been ordered-up!

David Lee Johnson has completed the script for the movie, but no casting has of yet, been made by Warner Brothers. Or, whoever normally would announce such things to the world at large... Taking care of keeping "this official", Hasbro’s Stephen Davis and Brian Goldner along with Courtney Solomon and Allan Zeman of Sweetpea Entertainment, will produce this flick.

Personally, I'm excited to see the whole franchise rolling, with the movie currently set to take place in the Forgotten Realms. Woot! If you'd like to know more details about the tone of the move, Collider has a great article you can read! Check it right here!
